Your initial 1-hour skin health consultation is $99.00. As a new welcomed client at Alternate Therapeutics Health & Skin Clinic Atherton, upon arrival you will be required to complete a new client information and consent form. Your initial consultation will include a thorough discussion of your skin concerns or complaints with your skin care professional. Bring a list of any medications you are currently taking, including vitamin and mineral supplements. Be honest in your lifestyle appraisal – this will help our skin therapist suggest a suitable program for your specific set of skin health concerns.
Follow up Appointment to receive services: prices will be discussed with you in advance and vary based on your individual needs.
How often should I visit for an appointment?
This will be discussed with you and your Skin Therapist. Appointments at our Atherton Clinic are based upon the individual’s skin needs, the complaints or issues an individual is experiencing, and how they respond to each service received. Therefore, the frequency of appointments can vary.

Does Skin Needling hurt?
Skin needling uses a vibrational stamping device creating very fine micro channels into the skin to promote collagen stimulation. A topical numbing cream is applied for patient comfort when receiving a micro needling treatment. Clients can resume normal activities almost immediately but may experience some minor redness for a day or two.
Why do I need a letter from my GP before receiving VPL Skin Rejuvenation Treatment?
As this skin treatment uses Variable Pulse Light (VPL) light-based therapy, all clients of Alternate Therapeutics Atherton will need to obtain a signed letter from their GP confirming no skin cancer or treatment of, on the face, neck or decolletage before a thorough skin health consultation or any treatment with a qualified skin therapist can occur. If skin cancer or treatment of is present, VPL and LED Light Therapy may irritate the skin.
VPL is safe and a non-surgical approach to reducing the appearance of vascular lesions, anti – ageing, pigmentation, sun damage, facial redness, broken capillaries, acne scarring, enlarged pores and fine lines.
Are treatments that use LED Light Therapy safe?
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) radiate pure light. Light therapy treatments at Alternate Therapeutics Health and Skin Clinic, Atherton do not generate heat nor any harmful UVA or UVB rays.
